"So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. 'Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye,' he said, 'and then I will come with you.'
'Go back,' Elijah replied. 'What have I done to you?'
So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant."

Kellye, When I left a great job at the Illinois Central Gulf RR (1973) I walked from my office on the 27th floor, and resisted the urge to (literally) look over my shoulder, ala Lot's wife. It was a very real plunge into the dark. It was then I discovered the truth contained within two cliches:

Wow. I didn't expect to read that 4th paragraph! Not that I'm at all surprised. Your writings make it very clear where your heart is. I would love to know more about what's going on ... what your plans are ... what God is calling you to. l Shoot me an email if you are so inclined and if you get the chance. Either way know that I am praying for you. Ministry is certainly a different lifestyle. Incredibly rewarding. Potentially incredibly painful. And one word from Jesus when we lock eyes with Him will make all of the pain fade. I. CANNOT. WAIT.
